sorry for the lack of updates guys, i've been pretty busy! but here's the next one(: enjoy! ♥
*“These last few months, you've put me through nothing short of hell. But when I took you here, I thought, I thought we were actually getting over things. I looked past all the nasty words you've called me, and when you kissed Harry at the airport. But you've been lying to me this whole time. I know that you didn't kiss him cause you were nervous, you kissed him because you wanted to kiss him. And that's not okay. You've ruined everything, you've bullied me, and just made me feel like sh*t. You don't know how many times i've cried over everything, everything you've done to me! Just because Harry isn't your boyfriend. Well you know what, he's my boyfriend, so get the f*ck over it! You know deep down that I didn't date him to make you jealous, but you know what, you use that as a clutch to make me feel like I'm the problem. You're the f*cking problem! And I'm not dealing with it anymore. You can stay at the hotel by yourself, and I'll stay with Harry. And in two days, you're going home. I'll be along later to get my bags. You put this on yourself, and I'm finally taking a stand, I'm not going to let you push me around anymore. ” Brynn's shirt was soaking with tears, and her makeup all smudged.
Sydney stood there, pale as a ghost, with a tear slowly trickling down her cheek. She tried to stay calm, she tried to act like she wasn't phased. But deep down, she was. She was burning with guilt and anger and sadness. She opened her mouth to get a word out, but Brynn wouldn't let her.
“And, if for one second, you're about to say that it wasn't your fault-”
“It was. It was my fault.” Sydney squinted her eyes to hold in tears. “But you don't understand, you don't know what it's been like to have the person you want so bad with your best friend. The way he cares about you, the way he kisses you, everything. Just the fact that that can't be me. I'm, I'm, jealous, okay. I'm sorry. I'm truly sorry. I never realized how much I was hurting you. Can you forgive me?” Sydney scratched her head, with a frown plastered on her face. Her heart was beating fast.
Brynn didn't say anything. She was surprised those words came out of Sydney's mouth. “You've taught me another thing, Sydney. I shouldn't be so forgiving. You cause me so much unbearable pain and sadness these last months, and you expect me to forgive you, just like that? I'm sorry Sydney, but you can't possibly expect me to forgive you for this. I want you out.”
More tears were coming from Sydney's face. She looked at Harry.
“Harry, I'm so sorry. Please, don't make me leave. I have no money or anything.”
“What, did you expect Harry to buy everything for you?” Brynn glared at her.
“No, I just-”
“Sydney, it's not like I don't know all you've done to Brynn. You've completely hurt her, and you know, we've tried to forgive you for this, but you really are in no position to be getting an apology from her. And you've hurt me too. You can't violate me like that, and do you know how that makes me feel, knowing that you're hurting my girlfriend? It's not acceptable.” He pulled out his wallet. “Here's a hundred euros, for food or whatever. Please, just get a taxi home and don't bother her, I want this over with.”
Sydney's breathing was heavy, her anxiety levels pumping. She felt so hurt, so ashamed, and so angry all at the same time. The one she had loved so much completely despised her, and her best friend was completely gone. But it was all her fault and she knew that. She nodded, took the money, thanked him for it, and left.
Brynn wiped the tears from her eyes and went to Harry who enveloped her in a hug. He kissed her forehead. “Do you think we were too harsh on her?” Harry muffled into her ear. Brynn lifted her head out of his chest and shrugged. “Maybe a little,” Brynn's eyes were shiny from all of her crying.
“Why don't we give her a ride back to the hotel at least?”
“I'll do it.” Niall stood up from the couch. These were the first words he had said since they had gotten there. He patted Brynn on the shoulder as he walked out of the flat. “Hang in there, babe.”
Sydney stood at the curb of the busy street, trying to flag down a cab when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around. It was Niall, with a solemn look on his face. Sydney sighed. “Look, if you're here to tell me everything I've done wrong, can you save it for another time? I know I messed up and I--”
“I'm not. I'm here to drive you home.” Niall looked at her.
“You are? You don't have to do that. I'm getting a cab right now-”
“Come on.” He gently took her hand and led her into the parking lot of the flat.*
